The Pineapple Villa is a traditional Sri Lankan mansion or ‘Walauwa’ that belongs to the Samarakoon family and is located in the charming rural village of Wathurugama on the outskirts of Colombo. The property is surrounded by vast Pineapple estates – giving its present name! The ancestral building dates from @ 1920 and has been converted to a luxury boutique hotel by the award winning Elephant Stables hotel at Kandy.
